Early warning system for guarantors (Bürgenfrühwarnsystem)
We recommend signing up to our early warning system for guarantors. We let you know every month whether your subcontractor is performing their duties as part of the leave scheme. You should ask your subcontractor to sign a power of attorney for the early warning system for guarantors right at the start of your assignment.
This keeps you informed as to whether your subcontractor is paying all contributions for your construction project. If any contributions are outstanding for ongoing assignments, the parties concerned often agree that the contractor pays the contributions to the leave fund. The contractor then withholds the contributions from the subcontractor’s wages.
Certificate of good standing (Teilnahmebescheinigung)
We issue your subcontractor a certificate of good standing upon request to confirm that all contributions have been correctly reported and paid to date. We recommend asking your subcontractor to show this certificate on a regular basis. Please note that the certificate does not contain any specific information regarding the construction site.
SOKA-BAU liability exemption certificate (Enthaftungsbescheinigung)
If you receive a liability exemption certificate, we do not claim anything from you as a guarantor for a specific period. If your subcontractor meets the requirements for such a certificate, you are not liable for any outstanding contributions during that period. These requirements include the timely report and payment of contributions over the past 12 months. Please note that there is a limit to the exemption of liability.
